Why We Must Learn to Work With Saturn
Saturn has a reputation.
Restriction.
Discipline.
Delays.
Consequences.
Limitations.
Hard lessons.
No wonder people are afraid of it.
But what if we’ve misunderstood Saturn?
What if Saturn isn’t here to punish you?
What if Saturn is here to teach you how to build?
Saturn deals with time.
Structure.
Boundaries.
Responsibility.
Maturity.
Commitment.
The things that don’t happen overnight.
The things that require you to show up again and again.
And honestly?
That’s not always comfortable.
Because Saturn asks questions we can’t always answer with intention alone:
What are you actually building?
What are you willing to commit to?
What are you responsible for?
What are you willing to practice long enough to become?
Saturn doesn’t just ask what you want.
Saturn asks what you’re willing to work for.
And that’s why I’ve become so fascinated with working with Saturn.
Because I’m less interested in spirituality that simply makes me feel good and more interested in spirituality that helps me become someone capable of holding the life I’m asking for.
That’s the difference.
I don’t want to simply manifest.
I want to build.
I don’t want to simply envision.
I want to embody.
I don’t want to escape the difficult parts of life.
I want to develop the capacity to meet them.
That is Saturn.
And that is also part of the philosophy behind The Daughters of Saturn. 🪐
It is a space for women exploring discipline without punishment, devotion without performance, spirituality without escapism, and the conscious construction of a life.
Because becoming isn’t always glamorous.
Sometimes becoming looks like consistency.
Sometimes it looks like boundaries.
Sometimes it looks like patience.
Sometimes it looks like starting over.
Sometimes it looks like doing the thing you said you were going to do—especially when nobody is watching.
Saturn doesn’t ask you to become perfect.
Saturn asks you to become responsible for your becoming.
And that is a relationship I’m learning to honor.
